The Pelican
Proinnsias is the High King of Banba. Inspired by the medieval legend of “the Pelican in her Piety,” where the pelican was thought to wound itself in order to nourish its young, he chose the vulning pelican as the symbol of his Kingship. It is he who summons Mira to Banba.
